Dr. Khalid Stanazai, MD is a Board Certified Neurologist and fellowship-trained Vascular Neurology specialist with over 13 years of experience in neurology.
Dr. Stanazai completed his medical training at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE), followed by his neurology residency at West Virginia University. He then spent four years as a neurohospitalist, managing the full spectrum of complex inpatient neurological conditions with a particular passion for stroke care and acute vascular neurology.
Driven by his dedication to stroke medicine, Dr. Stanazai pursued a Vascular Neurology Fellowship at George Washington University, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. He went on to practice as a teleneurohospitalist and vascular neurology specialist before returning to in-person practice.
After years of working within a system where patients wait months to see a specialist only to receive a rushed 10-minute visit, Dr. Stanazai founded Neuro Spectrum Solutions with a different vision, one where patients are partners in their own care.
His approach is built on three beliefs: that patients deserve time, that education is medicine, and that the best neurological outcomes come from empowering patients to understand and actively manage their own brain health.
Dr. Stanazai specializes in stroke prevention, stroke recovery, and comprehensive vascular neurology and sees patients across the full spectrum of neurological conditions including migraines, seizures, memory disorders, tremors, and more. He serves patients across Virginia and North Carolina via both in-person and telehealth appointments.
